London by night, seen from the London Eye

November 26, 2009 by Martin Hoscik

Along with a few other London writers and bloggers I spent Wednesday night taking in the stunning views from the London Eye, one of the capital’s finest modern attractions.

The evening offered a welcome chance to re-enjoy the Eye’s 4D film experience which opened this summer and which the London Eye’s owners, Merlin Entertainments, are justifiably proud.

Looking across the London skyline from the vantage point of our private capsule we all felt pretty special and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, no small thanks to our capsule host who took great care of us.

It was a great way to start the Christmas party season – the rest of this year’s festive celebrations have a lot to live up to.

A great night out deserves a shameless plug in return, a range of flights are available from brunch and afternoon tea to a romantic special occasion and if your budget doesn’t quite stretch to a private capsule you can enjoy a glass of champagne in a shared capsule.

A few more mildly out of focus pictures from the flight can be found on our Flickr group.
