Are you taking part in the world’s biggest coffee morning?

September 24, 2008 - Martin Hoscik@MayorWatch

You may have noticed our report back in August about the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning being held by Macmillan Cancer Support tomorrow (Friday 26th September) being held to raise £8m to help support people affected by cancer.

As we reported before, raising the cash is easy – just get your friends, family or work colleagues together and make a small donation for the drink and treats enjoyed. Every pound raised will ensure a person receives information leaflets on their cancer, while £184 is enough to fund a Macmillan nurse for a day.

The PR team at Macmillan have sent us a fun little ‘trailer’ for the event which they hope will inspire groups of all sizes to take part and help them meet their target – if you want any more details on the coffee morning pop along to the Macmillan website.
