AMs call for Cycle Hire feedback

September 13, 2010 by Staff

AMs want feedback from users of the Mayor's cycle schemes
Assembly Members on the London Assembly’s Transport Committee are asking Cycle Hire and Cycle Superhighway users for their experiences of the schemes.

The survey is accessible via the london.gov.uk website and will help AMs gather data ahead ahead of a public hearing to be held next month when the Committee will assess the success of the schemes and explore how initial problems have been addresses.

Committee chair Val Shawcross said: “It’s early days but we want to make sure the cycling schemes are working well and look at what improvements are needed, especially as there are proposals to expand them.

“A big part of our investigation is hearing from Londoners themselves about hiring bikes or cycling on the superhighways and I hope people will share their experiences with us through our survey.”
