Video: Boris labels Nick Clegg “David Cameron’s cup-bearer”

June 14, 2013 by Martin Hoscik

boris_state_of_london_13Boris Johnson has labeled Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg “David Cameron’s cup-bearer” after the Liberal Democrat leader accused him of slacking.

Earlier this week LBC 97.3 announced that the Mayor would take part in a regular monthly phone-in show, offering Londoners to quiz him on the big issues of the day.

The news prompted Clegg, who hosts a weekly show on the station, to label Boris a “slacker” for not matching his own number of radio appearances.

But on Friday the Mayor got the last word in, telling Clegg: “some of us have real jobs to do” and labelling the DPM “David Cameron’s cup-bearer and coat-holder in his ceremonial job as so-called Deputy Leader.”

Boris’s monthly radio show starts on Tuesday 2nd July.
