Mayor of London Boris Johnson was trapped in his car after union protestors blocked it in and climbed over the vehicle.

The incident took place outside DP World in Stanford-le-Hope where the activists from the UNITE union were protesting over employment conditions.

Your Thurrock reports: “The group of twenty protestors then surrounded the car in which the mayor was a passenger and harangued him.”

According to the paper, the Mayor’s vehicle was then prevented from reversing by a protestor who stood behind it.

The paper says a DP World security guard “tried to reason with the protestors and they finally let the mayor on his way back to London.”
