Tower Bridge lighting upgrade infographic

As reported last week, Tower Bridge is to be fitted with a new ‘state-of-the-art’ lighting system which could reduce energy consumption by 40 per cent and reduce carbon emissions.

The upgrade, which is hoped to be completed by the 2012 London Olympics, is the result of a 4-way agreement between City Hall, the City of London Corporation, London 2012 Sustainability partners EDF and GE which has issued this infographic detailing the benefits of the new lighting system as well as contextual information about the bridge’s history.
