Tories Meet Venezuelan Dissidents

May 14, 2006 by Staff

Bob Neill, Leader of the London Assembly Conservatives, this morning met a delegation of Venezuelan dissidents at City Hall.

The meeting was timed to coincide with the controversial visit of President Chavez which includes a lunch hosted by the Mayor at City Hall and a reception at the House of Commons.

Mr Neill has previously refused to attend the lunch stating that “President Chavez is not a person whom I wish to meet and I do not believe he is an appropriate person to entertain at City Hall.”
