This week at the London Assembly

June 28, 2010 by Martin Hoscik

Assembly Members will be holding public meetings this week at City Hall
The London Assembly will hold two public meetings this week (w/c Monday 28th June) and launch a new report on its review of the Dial-a-Ride service.

On Tuesday Assembly Members on the Business Management and Administration Committee will meet to decide how to review the handling of the 2010 elections in London.

The Committee will also set up a working group to consider future changes to the powers of the Mayor and Assembly.

Tuesday will also see AMs on the Transport Committee publish their report into Dial-a-Ride and other door-to-door transport services in London. The Dial-a-Ride service has attracted strong criticism from many users.

Thursday will see AMs on the Health and Public Services Committee discuss how London’s health and emergency services are preparing for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to ensure Londoners continue to receive the service they expect.

Meeting times and dates:

Tuesday 29 June 2010
Business Management and Administration Committee – 10am in Committee Room 5

Thursday 1 July 2010
Health and Public Services Committee – 10am in Committee Room 5

Papers for both meetings, which will webcast live, can be found on the Greater London Authority website.
