Transport for London has agreed to better publicise its board, committee and advisory panel meetings.
From April all meetings will be open to the public and will be publicised online and through social media.
Last month MayorWatch revealed how TfL was failing to inform its 160,000 Twitter followers of the meetings and merely places notices in the receptions of its HQ buildings where they are unlikely to be seen by Londoners.
All committee and panel meetings will take place at TfL’s Palestra offices in Southwark with board and remuneration committee meetings being held at City Hall.
Howard Carter, General Counsel, said: “We have reviewed the way our advisory panel meetings have been held and want to make it easier for the public to access the information discussed.
“We are committed to being transparent and will be publishing papers ahead of meetings and providing information for those who live, work and visit London to be able to better understand how we are working to improve London’s transport network.”
