Transport for London is asking Londoners and commuters into the capital for feedback on its new website, tfl.gov.uk.
A trial version of the site, which features a new, modern look and makes it easier to access the most popular content, goes live on Tuesday and will operate alongside the current site for several months.
TfL is hoping this ‘beta’ phase will allow it to capture user feedback and views before it switches off the current site later this year.
The new site is also designed to provide a better experience for visitors using mobile devices including smartphones.
Later in the test phase a new ‘Nearby’ feature which shows local travel information including status updates and live departure times will be added.
Phil Young, Head of TfL Online, said: “We have redesigned our website around what our customers have told us they want. The new site is optimised for mobile devices, making it much easier to access travel information while on the go.
“We will add in more features over the next few months until we are ready to fully launch the new site and switch off the old one after the summer. We’re encouraging everyone to try out the new features and let us know what they think so we can continue to make improvements to meet our customers’ needs.”
