Summer Treats at Kew Palace

April 17, 2008 by Staff

The historic Kew Palace promises to open more of its hidden secrets this summer with a series of guided evening tours starting from 18th May and running until 28 September 2008.

These exclusive tours will offer visitors “a unique opportunity” to enjoy the magic of Kew Palace after hours and will explore the palace’s story.

An expert guide will lead visitors into Kew Palace’s fascinating attics, where the Royal family’s servants lived amongst labyrinths of rafters. Never previously accessible to the general public, visitors will be able to see recently discovered, early seventeenth century paint decorations and witch marks.

There are also daily openings of the Palace available and the chance to visit Queen Charlotte’s Cottage which is open every weekend from 31 May.
