Southbank to host day-long Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy celebration

hh6London’s Southbank centre is teaming up with Penguin Books to host a day-long event to celebrate the success of Douglas Adams’ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series.

Taking place on Sunday 11th October, the Hitchcon’09 event will also mark the publication of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Part Six of Three: And Another Thing…, Eoin Colfer’s official sequel to the range which will be available in shops the next day.

Special guests include Clive Anderson, Andrew Sachs, Dirk Maggs , Simon Jones and Harry Shearer, and the original Hitchhiker’s cast of the Radio series will be recreating a Hitchhiker episode live on stage. Eoin Colfer will be introduced by Ireland’s multi-platinum selling band The Blizzards, playing their single inspired by And Another Thing…
