Police scrutiny body holds first public road shows

Londoners are being invited to find out more about recent changes to police scrutiny and to share their priorities for crime reduction, policing and community safety.

On Monday the Metropolitan Police Authority was replaced by Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPC) which will provide the Met with its strategic goals and scrutinise the force and Commissioner.

To help Londoners understand what the changes mean for policing in the capital, MOPC are holding two road shows hosted by Kit Malthouse, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime and local police officers.

The road shows will be take place on:

Saturday 4 February 2012, Croydon

Venue: Croydon Jury’s Inn – Conference Room

Address: Wellesley Road, Croydon CR0 9XY
Event start time: 9:30am

Saturday, 18 February 2012, Hounslow

Venue: Hounslow Civic Centre

Address: Lampton Road, Hounslow, TW3 4DN

Event start time: 9:30am

The events are free but attendees are asked to pre-register online.
