Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor of London Brian Paddick is taking part in a live video webchat friday night in an attempt to reach out to wider audiences in the race for London Mayor.
Mr Paddick will be responding live to online comments from web users via Ustream from 7.30 tomorrow night. The Ustream service has been used widely by candidates in the 2008 US presidential elections to connect with voters.
Mr Paddick’s Campaign Manager Andrew Reeves said: “The live webchat will allow Brian to hold a virtual hustings with Londoners from the comfort of their own home. Using the internet as a new way of engaging with Londoners will help Brian reach out to larger audiences and have a one-to-one dialogue with voters who would not otherwise attend political events.”
Mr Paddick has recently launched a new campaign website following the appointment of top American web strategist Jerome Armstrong to his campaign team.
