Nine Elms redevelopment plans to be exhibited

September 24, 2010 by Staff

Wandsworth council are holding a two-day exhibition of plans for a number of redevelopment schemes and proposals in the Nine Elms area including those at Battersea Power Station and New Covent Garden Market.

An interactive model of the area and video of the various schemes will be available to help visitors visualise how the area will be transformed and staff the council and developers will be available to discuss proposals and to answer questions.

Council leader Edward Lister said: “Nine Elms is London’s biggest regeneration opportunity with plans for more than 16,000 new homes, and 25,000 new jobs. It’s an exciting time for the area with so many sites in line for major new investment. The exhibition is a great chance for the public to see how the future of Nine Elms will take shape and to speak to some of the key developers.”

The exhibition at Battersea Studios on Silverthorne Road will run on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 October. Those wishing to attend should register in advance at www.wandsworthbestbuy.org.uk/nineelmsatbatterseastudios
