NHS London to host Twitter flu Q&A

September 28, 2011 by Staff

NHS London is hosting a live Q&A on micro-blogging site Twitter next Thursday (October 6th) as part of its campaign to ensure Londoners have the flu jab.

Chloe Sellwood, NHS London’s Pandemic and Seasonal Flu Lead will answer questions from patients and the public about who should have the flu jab, why it is important, and how to get it.

Every year, NHS organisations across London prepare for seasonal flu, as well as planning for emergency situations such as a flu pandemic.

NHS London says “it’s important that people from high risk groups get vaccinated to protect themselves and those around them.”

To take part in the Q&A send your questions in advance to @NHSLondonSHA and use the hashtag #flusafe from 10am on Thursday 6th October.

Information about the symptoms of seasonal flu and what to do if you think you have it is available on the NHS Choices website: http://www.nhs.uk/flu
