NHS London issues cold weather advice

A statement on the NHS London website is advising any patients due to to undergo elective surgery or attend outpatient appointments to with the hospital before travelling.

Patients are advised to call the number on their  appointment card or letter.

According to the statement “London Ambulance service are prioritising more serious incidents. Patients without life threatening illnesses are being advised to call their GP surgeries rather than an ambulance. We are advising everyone, especially vulnerable people, to stay at home and keep warm until the bad weather has passed.”
