New tourism ad targets Europeans

February 16, 2009 by Martin Hoscik

A new 12-week advertising campaign has been launched by Visit London, the capital’s tourism body. Created in partnership with British Airways, the “Londoner” series will air on pan European channel Euronews in Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Switzerland.

Visit London says the campaign will be supported online where more information about the Londoners and the city can be found.

Videos of European expats living in London discussing their favourite things about the city can be downloaded from the tie-in site and a British Airways booking pod will be available.

Visit London’s Interim CEO, Sally Chatterjee, said: “We are delighted at the launch of this joint advertising activity with British Airways. There is no better way to find out about London than from the people living here sharing their own experiences and local tips to people back home. With the favourable exchange rates, there has never been a better time for visitors from Europe to enjoy everything that London has to offer.”
