Former UKIP and Veritas Assembly Members Damian Hockney and Peter Hulme-Cross have today launched a new party called ‘The One London Party’.
Launching the group at City Hall this morning, Damian Hockney said “There is a real need for a party that gives a voice to Londoners…No-one, for example, has made any serious or sensible proposals as to how to reinvigorate the London economy following the recent drop in retail sales.
“With London giving a £15-£20 billion bonus as subsidy to the rest of the country (the London Deficit), it’s vital that some of that money comes back to London through tax reductions, transport improvements and genuine business incentives…not the patronising (and costly) street festivals and make believe parking incentives that politicians are indulging in.”
