New Greenwich Bus Route Announced

June 2, 2006 - Staff

A new bus route running between North Greenwich Station and Greenwich town centre serving Greenwich Millennium Village, Odeon Cinema/Sainsburys, Woolwich Road and Trafalgar Road has been announced.

Route 129 will provide the first direct link between Greenwich Millennium Village and Greenwich town centre with daytime buses running every 12 minutes and every 20 minutes during the evenings and on Sundays.

Announcing the new route Clare Kavanagh, Director of Performance for London Buses, said: “The new route is being introduced following extensive consultation with stakeholders and local residents.

“This service is what people say they need as the area has undergone extensive redevelopment in recent years.

“More and more people are using buses across the city each year and our services are carefully planned to take people to exactly where they want to go.”
