New Calendar Girls liven up West End

CAL GIRLS TITLECalendar Girls, the heart warming tale of ordinary women who spark a global phenomenon by posing for a charity calendar with a difference, has unveiled its latest cast.

For a limited 12-week run Gemma Atkinson, Jill Baker, June Brown, Sara Crowe, Anita Dobson, Jill Halfpenny, Jerry Hall and Jack Ryder will star in Tim Firth’s adaptation of his 2003 film script.

Directed by Hamish McColl, who won an Olivier Award for writing and performing “The Play What I Wrote” in the West End, the production also features Richenda Carey, Will Knightley, Delia Lindsay and Neil McCaul.

Calendar Girls is running at the Noel Coward Theatre. In keeping with the spirit of the story, the £1.50 per ticket booking fee is being donated to Leukaemia Research.
