MPs to investigate Olympic transport impact

January 25, 2012 by Martin Hoscik

MPs are investigating the impact of the Olympics on London's transport network
The House of Commons Transport Committee is inviting written evidence on the transport plans for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In June 2011 the Olympics Delivery Authority (ODA) published the latest edition of their Transport Plan for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, presenting an overview of the proposed transport arrangements for the games.

The Committee is particularly interested in hearing about disruption for businesses and services, the impact on public transport due to increased demand and the impact on the road network resulting from Games Lanes and the Olympic Route Network.

Evidence should be submitted by e-mail to transev@parliament.uk in Word or Rich Text format. The deadline for written submissions is Monday 27 February.

MPs say they expect to take oral evidence in March.
