Malaysian cuisine celebration returns to Trafalgar Square

August 30, 2011 by Staff

Malaysia Kitchen night at Trafalgar Square London Sept 2010.
Next month Trafalgar Square will host a one night celebration of Malaysian cuisine.

For the second year running, Malaysia Night will allow visitors to experience the best of Malaysia’s exceptional cuisine and flavours.

More than 20 Malaysian restaurants are supporting the event which takes place on Friday 23 September 2011, offering a diverse mix of dishes and cooking styles against a backdrop of live performances.

Masterchef Winner Tim Anderson will also be on hand to showcase his take on Malaysian street food.

Anderson said he would be “closely watching the masters of Malaysian food at work at Malaysia Night to pick up skills and techniques I’ve never seen before.

“Much of the cooking at Malaysia Night will be new to me, and new experiences mean new ideas, so I’m certain that I’ll incorporate what I see and taste into my own food.”

In addition to food stalls, visitors will also be able to purchase arts and crafts and authentic Malaysian ingredients to cook at home.
