Lord Mayor leads business delegation to China

Ian Luder, the Lord Mayor of London, is in China this week leading a delegation of leading UK-based financial and professional services firms. The group are expected to meet key figures in China’s financial service sector as well as regulators and political leaders.

The Lord Mayor aid China offered “tremendous opportunities for City businesses, in the fields of world-class professional services, insurance, asset management and financial education.”

Lauder said in return “the City’s participation in the Chinese financial sector can help bring new capital and expertise and improved corporate governance.”

The delegation will visit Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Hong Kong during the trip.
