The London Assembly has published its latest Scrutiny Bulletin which reveals that Capita, the private firm responsible for running the Congestion Charge, has been fined £1 Million for poor performance.
They also claim that many of the promised benefits of the scheme “have yet to be realised” but that it has been “more successful than anticipated” at convincing drivers to leave the car at home.
In addition the Assembly has secured, after an entire year of being pressured by the Assembly the Mayor the finally agreed to publish further details of his £250 Million contract with Capita.
