Mayor of London Ken Livingstone is to lead this year’s Pride Parade and speak at the Pride Rally in Trafalgar Square on Saturday 3 July. Other public figures attending include actor Sir Ian McKellen and Deputy Assistant Commissioner Brian Paddick.
Confirming his appearance the Mayor said: “I am pleased to be supporting this year’s Pride Parade and Rally, which is one of the most important events in London’s cultural calendar. I look forward to being part of this day of celebration for lesbians and gay men, which I want to see developed into an event to rival other Pride events around the world”
