Following yesterday’s discovery of two car bombs Mayor of London has called for increased vigilance and co-operation with the police and emergency services.
Speaking as thousands attend the annual Gay Pride celebrations the Mayor said
“The discovery of two potential car bombs in central London, with those responsible still at large, means we face a very real threat of terrorist attack at this moment in time.”
“It is imperative that all Londoners are vigilant and provide any information at all which may have any possible relevance to the Metropolitan Police immediately.”
Anyone with information about terrorist related activity should contact the Metropolitan Police’s Anti-Terrorism Hotline on 0800 789 321. Anyone with immediate concerns should dial 999.
