Liberal Democrat candidate for Mayor Brian Paddick has launch his ‘contract with London’ at an event in central London.
The ‘contract’ includes pledges in five key policy areas, policing, transport, housing, environment and accountability but contains little in the way of costings or specific detail of how promises would be delivered.
Attacking his rivals Mr Paddick said “Ken Livingstone has failed to deliver on his promises, Boris Johnson has failed to deliver anything while I have a proven track record of delivery.”
Mr Paddick, a former Deputy Assistant Commissioner in the Metropolitan Police, vowed he would “listen to Londoners and address their priorities.”
He was joined at today’s launch by LibDem Deputy Leader Vincent Cable.
