Left List Launch Manifesto

April 9, 2008 by Staff

The Left List, which is offering candidates for Mayor of London and the London Assembly launched its manifesto yesterday in a venue the party says symbolises the changes affecting Londoners – a bar which is to be demolished to make way for luxury flats.

The party says policies advocating London as “a financial centre above all” have been “a disaster for most Londoners, including East enders who have seen their communities sold off and their families priced out of the housing market.”

Left List Mayoral candidate Lindsey German (pictured above) said, “The reason why we focus on inequality in London is because it threatens the city’s future. We can do better than banking snakes and property ladders. I want change for London.”
