Livingstone says he would hope to appoint Green Mayoral contender and Jenny Jones and LibDem leader Caroline Pidgeon to his administration if he’s successful.
The pair would be appointed to to senior roles within the Greater London Authority alongside Labour Assembly Members including Livingstone’s running mate Val Shawcross.
In an interview with this site to mark the publication of his memoir, Livingstone says “you’d be mad not to have Caroline Pidgeon involved in helping run City Hall.”
Pidgeon, who entered City Hall in 2008, is the only one of the three current LibDem Assembly Members standing at next year’s Assembly elections.
Last weekend it was announced that she will serve as Deputy Mayor if LibDem Mayoral candidate Brian Paddick wins City Hall.
Jones previously served as Deputy Mayor for one year in Livingstone’s first term.
London’s voting system means the result of next year’s Mayoral election will be decided by second preference votes.
Both Livingstone and Boris Johnson will be wooing supporters of smaller parties over the coming months.
