Ken Hires Obama Web Firm

April 13, 2008 by Staff

Ken Livingstone’s re-election campaign have signed Blue State Digital, the US-based firm behind Barack Obama’s campaign for the US Presidency to head up their online campaign.

A spokesman for Livingstone’s campaign said “Online campaigning is not ever a replacement for street by street efforts, which is why our internet campaigning is all about using kenlivingstone.com to make it easier for supporters to get active and out into their local communities, spreading the message that Ken will keep London moving forward while Boris Johnson will take London back to the failed policies of the past.”

Blue Stat Digital’s Thomas Gensemer said the firm was “delighted to bring the experience gained with Senator Obama’s campaign to London” adding “Ken has that same trait of being able to connect so well with ordinary people and that means he can engage naturally with the online community.”

Last week Liberal Democrat candidate Brian Paddick unveiled a new-look website from US web consultant Jerome Armstrong.
