Independent: London is World’s Capital

A survey carried out by the Independent  newspaper has crowned London as capital of the world.

The survey, which was carried out of a period of several months, looked at population, financial markets, tourism and transport facilities.

Mayor of London Ken Livingstone told the paper: “With over 300 languages spoken here, London is literally the most international city in the world. Its financial sector, its creative industries and its tourism industry all rely, in different ways, on their relations with the rest of the world and”.
