Boris fails to deliver ‘no cost to taxpayer’ cable car

Boris Johnson has failed to recoup the construction costs of his cable car scheme linking the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Victoria Dock. When he originally unveiled the scheme, the Mayor promised that no public funds would be spent in its construction.

Cable car construction gets underway, completion date still unknown

TfL invites cable car sponsorship bids

Sponsors are being sought for the Mayor’s cable car scheme which connects the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Victoria Dock. Sponsors of the scheme would gain naming rights to stations and and the gondolas with station names included on the Tube map.
