Home buying advice for Wandsworth key workers and first time buyers

Wandsworth Council has announced an advice day for first time buyers and key workers looking to own their own home. The ‘Open the Door’ event takes place on Thursday, October 16 from 2pm to 8pm in the Civic Suite, Wandsworth High Street.

The council’s home ownership team has joined forces with local housing associations have joined forces with the council’s home ownership team to host the open day, the fourth of its kind, following the success of last year’s event which attracted more than 500 people wishing to find out more about buying an affordable home in Wandsworth.

Expert advisers will be on hand to explain the Shared Ownership Nominations Scheme and the Open Market Homebuy Schemes open to local residents and there will also be a chance to discuss affordable rental schemes with housing association representatives.

The event is open to all first time buyers living in Wandsworth and key workers employed in the borough can find out more by calling the home ownership unit on 020 8871-6016.
