May 18, 2004 by Staff

The Christian Peoples Alliance’s London mayoral candidate, Ram Gidoomal unvieled his election manifesto today.

Mr Gidoomal said he would focus on the "regeneration of London’s inner city districts, the cash chasm in capital investment for transport in London and a return to traditional, Christian values in schooling."

His pledges include:

1. Establishment of a £500m London regeneration fund to create new jobs and affordable housing

2. Expanding the number of faith schools in the capital
3. Tackling drug related crime

Mr Gidoomal said he wanted to tackle the "scandal of the divide between rich and poor".
