Londoners looking for more information on the capital’s ambitious Crossrail scheme can now pop along to a new visitor centre on St Giles High Street, close to the construction work on Tottenham Court Road.
The centre will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from midday until 8pm and will offer information on each of the central area Crossrail stations as well as more general information on the project.
Clinton Leeks, Crossrail’s Corporate Affairs Director said: “Now that Crossrail’s construction is underway, we are delighted to be able to open the first Crossrail Visitor Centre which will be a one-stop shop for information about the Crossrail project.”
“The Visitor Centre will enable local residents, businesses and anyone interested in the Crossrail project to get further information or have their queries answered. Further centres will open in due course as construction gets underway at other sites along the Crossrail route to help us to ensure that people are kept informed.”
For anyone unable to get to the centre information is also available from the rossrail Helpdesk on 0345 602 3813 (24-hours, 7-days a week), by e-mailing helpdesk@crossrail.co.uk, or by writing to Crossrail FREEPOST NAT6945 London SW1H 0BR.
All information available at the visitor centre will also be available on the Crossrail website at www.crossrail.co.uk
