Extended run for hit musical Avenue Q

September 3, 2009 by Staff

AvenueQThe producers of popular West End musical Avenue Q have announced the show is to extend its run to January 2010 after attracting rave reviews for what was intended to be a limited summer run at the Gielgud Theatre.

The London production of the puppet-starring musical originally opened in June 2006 at the Noël Coward Theatre before transferring to the Gielgud in June this year.

A string of five star reviews and continuing box office success has prompted producer Cameron Mackintosh to extend the run into the New Year.
