Transport for London have said that the Congestion Charge could end earlier each evening following the planned expansion of the zone.

The possible change to a 6pm ending is part of a package of proposals for public consultation which also includes revived boundaries and additional discounts for residents living just outside the zone.

The consultation period runs until 15 July 2005. Members of the public can give their feedback on the TfL website.
