DLR Dagenham Extension Consultation Launched

January 29, 2007 by Staff

Transport for London (TfL) has launched a consultation process for the proposed extension of the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Dagenham Dock by distributing more than 60,000 leaflets to local local residents and organisations.

The proposed extension would extend east from the existing DLR network at Gallions Reach with possible new stations at Beckton Riverside, Creekmouth, Barking Riverside, Dagenham Vale and Dagenham Dock.

Richard De Cani, DLR Head of Planning and Development, said past extensions had “successfully assisted the regeneration of the areas they encompass” adding that DLR was “confident a link to Dagenham Dock would prove just as beneficial.”
