Digital artists celebrated in new exhibition

September 22, 2009 - Staff

DA_logo_smallA new exhibition showcasing entries from the 2009 Digital Artist 2009 competition was announced today by Intel and computing magazine giant Future.

Opening 2nd October and running until the 10th, the exhibition will include works by winners and runners up and is being billed as an exclusive chance to view work from the hottest up and coming talent in digital art. The exhibition’s backers say it is also a celebration of how the latest technology is impacting the creation of art across the globe.

The Digital Artist 2009 competition launched for the first time in April with the aim to inspire, recognise and reward the highest standards of digital art across a range of 13 categories.

The Intel “Stars of Tomorrow” award is one category which will reward the best new talent in digital art and design. Two “Stars of Tomorrow” awards will be honoured which will reward the most innovative and exciting examples of work across any digital creative discipline within the two age-groups of 16 and under and 17-25 years.
