Crow Resigns from TfL

June 25, 2004 by Staff

RMT Leader Bob Crow has resigned from the board of Transport for London after Mayor Livingstone said he would cross the picket line next week if her were an RMT member.

Speaking at yesterday’s Mayors Question Time, Mr Livingstone branded the strike as “completely and utterly unacceptable” stating that “Londoners should not be put to this inconvenience and disruption.”

Bob Crow later called the Mayor’s comments “unhelpful”

The Mayor had previously rejected calls, most notable from LibDem Mayoral Candidate Simon Hughes, for Mr Crow to be sacked from TfL’s board.
