Assembly to quiz Boris over London’s budget

Boris Johnson will appear before a full meeting of the London Assembly on Thursday when Assembly Members question him over his 2011/12 budget which imposes cuts in the funding of the Greater London Authority’s functional bodies and the Met police.

Mayor praises knife amnesty charity

Boris Johnson visited Victoria this morning to help empty a ‘weapons bin’ operated by Word 4 Weapons, a faith-based charity which encourages young people to anonymously get rid of knives and weapons by placing special bins outside shops and faith venues.
