Westminster residents could be entitled to park on single yellow lines under parking proposals due to be consulted on by Westminster City Council.
The council is set to consult on a wide range of possible changes to its parking rules after Councillors agreed a number of draft policies.
Other proposals include increasing the number of marshalled taxi ranks and introducing a visitors permit scheme.
Cllr Lee Rowley, Westminster council’s cabinet member for parking, said: “We have long heard anecdotal evident from our residents that it can be difficult to park in the city but this research shows a clear need to review our parking policies.”
Rowley said the review was about “making it easier for residents, businesses and visitors to use our roads effectively and ensure we have parking policies fit for the next decade.”
