A Progressive London conference to be held this Saturday will debate the “economic alternative”. Discussions will include the need for economic policy to address climate change, the shifting centre of the world economy and the scale and driving forces of the global crisis.
Set up by former Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, Progressive London describes itself as “a cross-party, cross-community forum which campaigns for policies to improve London”.
In addition Livingstone speakers will include Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesman Vince Cable, Daily Mirror associate editor Kevin Maguire and Jenny Jones AM.
