Barbara Newman, Chairman of the City of London Corporation’s committee responsible for City Commons said: “The Olympic Games is less than one year away, what better time to get fit and feel part of the Games.
“Walking for Gold is the perfect opportunity for people to combine exercise with appreciation of the wildlife and natural scenery around them.”
Rea Slack, City of London Walk Leader, said: “If you’ve never joined a walking group, it’s great fun and a perfect way of getting motivated, meeting new friends and exploring the area. We look forward to meeting new walkers of all ages and backgrounds.”
