City consults on planning strategy

st_pauls_bridgeConsultation begins next week on the ity of London Corporation’s ‘Draft Core Strategy’ which forms part of the Local Development Framework, a series of documents which set out the planning policies for the City of London.

The draft document outlines how the City will develop in terms of being a world class financial and business centre that is sustainable, enhances culture and heritage and provides for local communities.

It also highlights new policies in light of changes within particular locations including Crossrail and the North of the City, Cheapside and St Paul’s, Eastern cluster, Aldgate and the Thames.

The Core Strategy will be available to view from the City of London website www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/ldf as well as at libraries within the City and at the Planning and Transportation reception in the Guildhall North Wing from the start of the consultation period.
