City candidates list published

February 26, 2009 by Martin Hoscik

The final list of candidates contesting the City of London’s ward elections on March 16th has been published.

Voters, which includes businesses as well as residents, will be electing 100 “Common Councilmen” that represent the City’s interests in the Court of Common Council – the main decision-making body of the City of London Corporation.

128 candidates are contesting 100 seats across the 25 Wards.  Due to the number of candidates standing in each Ward, only 13 will have contested elections.
