Tube bosses are advising Central and Waterloo & City line passengers to make alternative journey plans on Friday because of likely disruption caused by strike action.
Drivers belonging to the ASLEF union voted to strike in a row over working conditions, with the union accusing managers of a “failure to treat drivers with the respect and dignity they deserve”.
The strike was confirmed after talks at ACAS to resolve differences between the two sides concluded without agreement.
London Underground say no Waterloo & City line services will operate. The Central line will not have any trains running through central London and parts of the line may also be suspended.
Any services that do run will not start before 07:00 and will finish by 22:00.
Passengers are being advised to seek alternative routes.
Other Tube services, the DLR, London Overground and National Rail will operate normally.
