Bus Crash Leaves Woman Dead

Transport for London officials are investigating the circumstances of a bus crash in South London earlier today which left one woman dead.

Fire and rescue crews from Old Kent Road, Dockhead, Soho and Clerkenwell fire stations attended the incident this morning on Tower Bridge Road which involved a 188 bus colliding with a tree causing it to hit a woman pedestrian in her 20s. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Transport for London spokesperson said the body “are working closely with the police and the emergency services. There will be a full investigation into this incident.”

Nine passengers were taken to hospital including a casualty who had to be rescued from the from the top deck of the bus.
