BBC London Marathon Coverage

The BBC today unveiled their plans for covering this year’s Flora London Marathon which takes place on Sunday 23rd April.

BBC Sport will provide comprehensive live coverage on BBC ONE between 8.30am-1.50pm plus there will be an evening highlights programme on BBC TWO starting at 6.10pm.

Television coverage will be introduced by Sue Barker along with Colin Jackson, Jill Douglas, Juliette Ferrington and Phil Jones, while commentary for the elite and wheelchair races will be provided by Steve Cram, Brendan Foster, Paul Dickenson and Ian Thompson.

BBC Radio Five Live will also provide coverage from 9.00am and digital TV viewers will be able to access the Marathon Interactive service for live individual coverage of both the men’s and women’s races.

The BBC Sport website will have access to live streaming of the race as well as text reports, video interviews and an interactive map of the course.

32,000 runners are expected to take part in the 26 mile race which starts in Greenwich Park and makes its way through the streets of London.
